Celine Dion earned ~11x more per night in Paris than in Vegas
Celine Dion's first run of shows since cancelling her last tour has broken two residency records. According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, the 16 shows at Plenitude Arena, just outside Paris, grossed $125.5 million and sold 539,000 tickets between Sept 12 and Oct 17, 2026.
How she got back on stage
Dion's Courage World Tour started in September 2019 and made more than $100 million before it stopped in March 2020 for COVID. After several delays, she cancelled the rest of the tour in 2023 following her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis.
The Paris residency, billed as Celine Dion Paris, is her return to a full live schedule. She first announced 10 shows in March, then added six more in April.
The Paris numbers
Spread across 16 nights, the $125.5 million works out to $7.8 million a show, and the 539,000 tickets to about 33,700 fans a night.

The roughly $233 per ticket is TicketNews' own calculation: total gross divided by tickets sold. It isn't the face price, and it doesn't show what fans paid on resale sites. The engagement offered VIP packages and official AXS Premium and Ticketmaster Platinum seats, but Billboard didn't say how much of the gross came from them.
The records
Highest gross per show. At $7.8 million a night, Paris beats U2's Sphere residency in Las Vegas, which averaged $6.1 million per show and was the previous record.
Biggest average crowd. Dion's 33,700 fans a night is close to double the next best in Boxscore's archive: Billy Joel's Madison Square Garden residency, at 18,600.

Billboard counts a residency as 10 or more shows at one venue. Long stays at a single venue during a wider tour don't count.
Paris vs Vegas
Dion already holds the top two residencies of all time by total gross, both at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas: A New Day… grossed $385.1 million across 714 shows from 2003 to 2007, and Celine brought in $296.2 million from 427 shows between 2011 and 2019.

Paris isn't in the all-time top 10 by total gross yet. Per night, it's earning about 11 times what her second Vegas run made, and about 14 times her first. Billboard puts it at more than 10 times either Vegas run.
Why the gap is so big
It mostly comes down to the size of the room. The Colosseum holds around 4,000 people. MGM's Dolby Live, the other big Vegas residency venue of that era, holds 5,200. The Sphere has since pushed residencies to arena scale, selling more than 15,000 tickets a night for acts like Backstreet Boys, Dead & Company and Eagles.
Plenitude Arena is technically an indoor arena, but its capacity is stadium-sized. Bigger crowds every night mean more revenue every night. That's how Dion passed half a million tickets in just over a month.

What's next
Dion returns to the same venue for 10 more shows between May 8 and 29, 2027. Those dates aren't part of the $125.5 million. When they went on sale in June, Ticketmaster France temporarily paused the queues after reporting suspicious activity.
Since a December 1990 show at Montreal's Théâtre St-Denis, Dion has grossed $1.3 billion and sold 9.8 million tickets across a reported 1,517 concerts. More than half of that, by gross, attendance and number of shows, comes from her three residencies. Billboard expects the 2027 dates to take her past 10 million tickets sold.
